No Time Like the Present

When I thought about this blog almost a year ago, I just didn't know how to get started. I knew I wanted to share my thoughts on letting go of fears in life but I wasn't sure what direction that would go or what it would look like.

Well, as time passed and life experience began to teach me things I needed to know to move forward on the fascinating journey of life, I now have a clearer view of what I want to share with whoever chooses to follow.

First thing is defining fearless. Today as I begin it means courage. But in the past it has also meant strong, convicted, determined...I could go on. In simple terms, it is the absence of fear. How many times has fear stopped you from taking a chance? I know it has for me many, many times. At one point I looked back on those moments and wondered why I didn't try harder or choose differently and, no matter what it looks like on the surface, when I peel off the excuses layer by layer, what I find in the center is fear. Fear stops us in our tracks. Fear takes control. I finally asked myself why in the world would I want anything control me. In order to be open and really experience life fear cannot be in control.

But how do you begin to conquer fear and truly live as you were meant to? Work and words...and that will lead to the next post...Talk, Talk, Talk.

Peace,
~g
